Most companies and schools employ proxy servers to filter unwanted sites so employees won't waste precious company resources surfing sites that the companies deem unproductive. While the use of proxy servers to block unwanted sites may be understandable in commercial cases, there are also companies that are overdoing it, banning almost all websites and creating a lot of inconvenience to their employees. Here are various ways to bypass or outsmart the proxy servers and get on any site, or more specificly myspace. Lots of schools and office proxy servers are not set up with firefox and will not have blocked certain functions so if firefox is allredy installed use it and if not download it below.

Any site

method 1: proxy blocker

Search google below for proxy blockers and go through the list untill you find a site that is not blocked. Then follow the instructions on that page.

method 2: Google Translate
Basically you confuse the proxy server by translating a page from english to english. In the address bar copy and paste the following:

http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=www.pc-pranks.com

Where www.pc-pranks.com is replaced with the website you wish to view e.g. www.myspace.com

method 3: Google Mobile

Another great way to bypass your proxy server is by using Google Mobile. Google Mobile is designed to let users perform a Google Search on their mobile phones. As such, the result returned by Google Mobile is automatically formatted to fit on small screen devices. To use Google Mobile to load a site, use the following URL format:

http://www.google.com/gwt/n?u=www.pc-pranks.com

For example, the following URL will load YouTube.com:

http://www.google.com/gwt/n?u=www.youtube.com

Myspace

method 1: cached

Google search myspace and dont click on the title, but underneath the description click on 'cached'.

method 2: Chinese Myspace

MSN at school or in the office

method 1: go on to or other similar sites if these are blocked try one of the 'get on any site' methods.

method 2: This one more complicated but will probably work

Step 1 go to then click on iGoogle (top right)

Step 2 on add stuff to this page box click on more stuff

Step 3 now search for meebo and click the one called 'meebo gadget'

Step 4 click add it now, then agree to the pop up message the 'click back to homepage' (top left) and you're good to go
